while we are on linguistics off to Norfolk at the crack of dawn and does anyone no how to translate the local tongue it into English

on the subject of accents, i was recently asked if was scottish by a rumanian gentleman. Being from gods own county I was mightily vexed.

No thankfully it's a busmans holiday to Titchwell and Sheringham to see the feathered variety think things will be ok unless the car breaks down and will then have to resort to gestures and lots of pointing

You don't need two hands to catch the clap, and he was a bit of a lad I've heard.

A costermonger is a barrow boy, but by the 1920s he was pushing a barrel organ about with a monkey on top! Don't know how you earn a living at it, maybe the monkey paid well!

My Grandad was a steeple jack and grave digger during that time and once they nearly did both jobs in one when some poor devil found his wife playing away and in the dead of night jumped 45 feet from the church scaffold. He missed an open grave by a few feet
